You can open the Normal template and apply No Spacing to the blank paragraph in that template; this would apply to future documents based on the template. Charles mentioned that possibility in his first reply. However, it is easier to modify the Normal style, as I wrote in my previous reply. One reason is that you can't really get rid of that style, anyway.
Therefore, I tend to leave it alone and instead apply the Body Text style to body text paragraphs and I also apply the heading styles to heading paragraphs, etc. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
